The town of Brewster is located in Southeastern Massachusetts, at the inside bend of the “elbow’ of Cape Cod. Considered by some to be one of the most picturesque towns, Brewster borders Orleans on the East, Harwich on the South and Dennis on the West and its saltwater beaches lie on the bay.
Known as the “Sea Captain’s Town”, established in 1803, the town encompasses approximately 23 square miles which include over 325 acres of beaches and marshlands with 24 ponds. Currently, over one-third of Brewster’s land has been retained for conservation, open space, recreation and watershed protection. Consequently, Brewster boasts award-winning drinking water and two nationally acclaimed 18-hole golf courses among other recreation sites.

Nickerson State Park contains 400 acres of trails for biking and hiking, camping areas, and freshwater ponds for swimming, fishing and boating. Biking & hiking enthusiasts will love the Cape Cod Rail Trail; maintained by the state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Rail Trail, a former 22 mile former railroad, runs from Dennis to Wellfleet and passes through Nickerson State Park.
The historic Route 6A, Old “King’s Highway”, runs through the heart of Brewster and boasts over 30 art galleries, craft shops, antique shops and restaurants. Featured attractions in Brewster include the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, the Brewster Historical Society, the Higgins Farm Windmill & Harris-Black House and Blacksmith shop at Drummer Boy Park, the Stony Brook Gristmill and Herring Run, the Cape Rep Theater, the Brewster flats, the Brewster Ladies Library. As well as many Cape towns, Brewster is also home to the Cape Cod Baseball league’s Brewster Whitecaps Baseball Team.
